3 unconventional ways to wear a saree.

December 10, 2016 at 12:06 am |

With the wedding season upon us and so many of our best friends, friends, and acquaintances tying the knot, I could not imagine a better time to write this post.

Indian traditional weddings are full of splendour, colour, and a lot of jazz and blitz. Though a fun time, it takes a toll on us women. We are faced with the world’s most crucial question:

‘WHAT DO WE WEAR?’

And I am not being the least bit dramatic.
The same old saree and lehenga have become dull, dreary and unexciting. And I am being kind!

So, I have created three unconventional looks with saree for your wedding parties and events.

  1. With Jeans

Jeans are a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. They are like bacon, goes well with everything. So, why not a saree with jeans? The runway seems to like it….

2. Crop top and waist belt

Women these days have a garden full of options when it comes to blouse designs. Halter, air hostess, full-sleeved, off-shoulder, and the likes.
Why not opt for an elegant crop top to wear with your saree this season?
Add a thin waist belt to your ensemble to take the chicness up a notch.
Waist belts are one of the three accessories that you never might have given a second thought.

3. Leather Jacket

Layering is your best bet for Winters. Make a ‘bold and beautiful’ statement while wearing saree this season. And what better way to do that than a leather jacket?
I am pretty partial to them.
And during the summers, you can opt for a cute shirt to layer up.

So these are my choice of unconventional saree styling.
Let me know what other fun ways of wearing a saree you would opt for.
